NOTICE
Shelby County Shindig will move indoors to the Grande Hall at Old Mill Square in Columbiana, Alabama.
Due to the storms that are forecast for Saturday, we are moving indoors to the Grande Hall at Old Mill Square.
We have decided to keep the show moving forward and not postpone or cancel the event. The show will be a slightly scaled down version of the outdoors event. There will be socially distanced seating inside for people to enjoy the music and the art gallery will be open for viewing. If you feel like you cannot attend this show in person, we are doing a multi-camera video production that will be uploaded to YouTube for your enjoyment after the show.
For public safety reasons we ask that everyone who enters the venue wear a mask . The Grande hall is a spacious multi-purpose venue. We request that you read and observe the following Covid-19 restrictions. We make every effort to give the public a sanitized environment- but please understand you enter at your own risk.

The Shelby County Arts Council is taking every precaution to protect visitors during this event. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be provided to visitors upon request. The Shelby County Shindig is a one day outdoor bluegrass festival held in Columbiana, Alabama at Old Mill Square Park.

There will be food tucks onsite during the event and soft drinks for sale in the Grande Hall concessions kitchen.
David Hockney: Six Fairy Tales gallery exhibit will open in the EBSCO Fine Art Gallery during the Shindig. Gallery hours on Saturday will 10am-4:30pm. This exhibit is free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 10am-5pm. This show will be on display until December 1, 2020.

Is there a cost to attend?
Thanks to our sponsors this is a free event!
Are masks required for the event?
We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable during the event. We ask that guests spread out 6 feet from the next group on the lawn. We do ask that upon entry inside to the Arts Center, masks are worn.
What time can I set up for the day?
While the park is open to the public, we suggest guests begin arriving to at 10:00 am to get set up for the full day of music. Space is on a first come, first served basis. We will not be marking off spaces or saving spaces in the park.
Where can I find a drink?
Although alcohol on open display is prohibited in the park; there are two establishments close to the site:
1.Just a Tish (Wine & Cold Beer) adjacent to Old Mill Square Park.
2-The Local Kitchen and Ale (full bar)) on 21270 AL25 , 1/2 mile from the site
Will the Shelby County Arts Center be open during the event?
Yes! Our gallery will be open to view the current exhibit. We do ask those who enter the building to wear mask and sanitize hands upon entry. We will also offer small group tours of the facility from 11:30 am until 4:00 pm.
Will there be food vendors?
Yes! The City of Columbiana is coordinating food vendors for the Broadway Walk, located adjacent to the park. In addition, there are local restaurants within walking distance of Old Mill Square park.
Can I bring a chair? Cooler? Tent?
Guests should bring their own chairs for the lawn. Small coolers (no larger than 16"w x 16"d) are allowed. Tents are NOT allowed for this event.

Where do I park?
Surrounding Old Mill Square Park is a large parking lot. In addition, guests may park at the County Courthouse parking located across the street from the event. Overflow parking will be at the Shelby County High School, less than a mile from Old Mill Square. CLICK on the blue button below!
